Motorcyclist breaks leg in 7m fall down ravine


HULU SELANGOR: A motorcyclist broke his leg after he was flung from his motorcycle and fell into a 7m-deep ravine along Jalan Sungai Tua here.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Morni Mamat said the incident occurred at 8.23am on Monday (April 17) along the road in the direction of Selayang.

"We received a distress call about the incident and dispatched a fire engine and seven personnel to the scene.

"They arrived about 20 minutes later and found that a 28-year-old motorcyclist had been involved in an accident and fell into the ravine," he said when contacted.

He added that personnel were lowered into the ravine and lifted the victim out on a stretcher.

"The motorcyclist was sent to Hospital Selayang for treatment," he said.
