KUCHING: Sarawak Governor Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud and his wife Toh Puan Raghad Kurdi Taib will hold an open house at the Astana here on the first and second days of Hari Raya.
In a statement on Wednesday (April 19), the Astana said Taib and his wife will receive Federal and state ministers as well as local dignitaries from 11am to 1pm and from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on the first day of Raya.
On the second day, they will receive the public and well-wishers from 11am to 1pm.
"Those who wish to visit during the open house at the Astana are advised to be properly attired," the statement added.
The first day of Syawal will fall on either Friday (April 21) or Saturday (April 22).
Meanwhile, Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife Puan Sri Juma'ani Tuanku Bujang will hold their Raya open house at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching.
Should the first day of Hari Raya fall on Friday, they will receive guests from 3pm to 6pm, and from 10am to 2.30pm on Saturday.
If the first day of Raya is on Saturday, the open house will be from 10.30am to 4pm, and from 10am to 2pm on Sunday.
"The public are welcome to attend the open house to celebrate Hari Raya," the Sarawak Premier's Office said, adding a request for guests to be dressed decently.
