PETALING JAYA: All Malaysians should use the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration as an opportunity to visit their loved ones to forge stronger bonds, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"Let us use this time to create close relations, visit each other and increase the sense of kindness among us," said Anwar during his Hari Raya Address on Friday (April 21) night.

Anwar also said the principles of discipline and kindness that were faced by Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan will be central to the government’s best practices.

"We will remain strict in restoring dignity and integrity, and reject all forms of wrongdoing so that we can ensure the welfare of the people and restore the dignity of the people," said Anwar.

Anwar also paid tribute to all civil servants who are serving the country.

"May their efforts will give strength to the country," said Anwar.

The Prime Minister also wished Malaysians "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri."

"From me, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and my family. I wish happy Eid Mubarak to all Muslims and Malaysians," added Anwar.
