RM4,300 in subsidised diesel seized


ALOR SETAR: Subsidised diesel worth RM4,300 was seized by marine police during a raid on a petrol station in Jalan Langgar here.

According to Bernama, Kedah Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) director Affendi Rajini Kanth said the diesel was found in an extra tank on a lorry at 11am on Thursday.

Marine police then seized an estimated 2,000l of diesel found in the additional tank, he said in a statement yesterday.

The case was then handed over to Kedah KPDN and the 52-year-old lorry driver was detained for further investigation.
