Madani Aidilfitri open house proves togetherness with Federal Govt, says Kelantan MB

TUMPAT: The Malaysia Madani Aidilfitri Open House 2023 event with the Prime Minister in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu proves that the context of togetherness between the federal and state governments still exists.

Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob (pic) said the Kelantan government has no issues with the event and had received the letter from the government with an open heart.

"Kelantan respects the Federal Government's decision to hold a Madani Aidilfitri open house at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium grounds from 7pm to 10.30pm on May 12.

"All preparations are being done by the Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Ministry as the lead ministry,” he told reporters at the Kelantan Menteri Besar’s Aidilfitri open house in Kampung Alor Pasir near Wakaf Bharu here on Sunday (April 23).

The Prime Minister’s Department had announced that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would not be holding an Aidilfitri open house at his official residence at Kompleks Seri Perdana in Putrajaya this year.

Instead, it said the Malaysia Madani Open House with the Prime Minister in conjunction with Aidilfitri 2023 will be held in three states, namely Kedah on April 29, Kelantan (May 12) and Terengganu (May 13).

Meanwhile, Ahmad reminded parents to monitor their children while they are playing with firecrackers to prevent untoward incidents.

"I was made to understand that there have already been 17 cases of children aged under 10 being injured while playing with firecrackers, with 12 of them warded in hospital,” he said. - Bernama
