KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy building has been temporarily closed after a landslide destroyed a guard post near its entrance.
City Fire and Rescue Department said in a statement that its operations commander E. Yogeswaran together with seven personnel and a fire engine were deployed to the scene.
"They arrived at the building at Persiaran Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin and found that a landslide occurred at the entrance to the building and its guard post was destroyed.
"The affected area is estimated to be 30m by 36m," it said, adding that 36 men and 40 women who were at the scene were immediately evacuated.
It added that the building has been temporarily closed while slope experts from the Kuala Lumpur City Hall and Public Works Department were inspecting the area.
"No casualties were reported in the incident," it said.
