Johor MB orders CIQ exit lane to be cleaned following complaints on social media

JOHOR BARU: Cleaning is in progress at the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex following complaints of foul-smelling water at the exit lane of the building.

Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said that he had ordered relevant parties to take immediate action on Thursday (April 27) after receiving complaints on social media.

"I have told the management and state Public Works Department (JKR) to carry out cleaning immediately.

"The state government listens to and understands the plight of all users and will continue taking action for the comfort and safety of the people," he said in a Facebook post on Thursday (April 27).

He added that the dripping water came from a clogged sink and was not sewage.

Earlier, a Facebook user expressed disgust over foul-smelling water dripping at the exit lane at the building saying that the situation had been persisting for weeks.

The post has since been shared about 300 times, with many tagging the Johor Mentri Besar.
