Man killed in car workshop fire in Shah Alam

SHAH ALAM: A man was killed in a fire at a car workshop here in the early hours of Thursday (April 27) morning.

In a statement, acting Shah Alam OCPD Supt Ramsay Embol said that the fire occurred at Jalan Jemuju 3 in Seksyen 16 here.

"The fire engulfed a two-story building and the body of a victim was found at the stairs," he said.

He added that the victim had burns on both sides of his legs and that a post mortem will be conducted at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah in Klang.

"The building was fully destroyed and the matter is still being investigated by the Fire and Rescue forensics team. The case has been classified as a sudden death report," he said.
