Ops Selamat 20: Two bicycle incidents among 1,618 accidents recorded on seventh day

PETALING JAYA: A total of 1,618 accidents were recorded on the seventh day of Op Selamat 20.

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), in their daily statistics on Thursday (April 27), said that the accidents involved 1,975 vehicles on April 26.

Of this total, 66% or 1,304 vehicles involved were cars.

A further 250 motorcycles were also involved in road accidents on Wednesday.

An additional two bicycles were also recorded in the accident statistics.

"The department advises all road users to be alert when driving to avoid the risk of being involved in accidents," it said.
