KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Prime Minister and Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) is slated to attend the Sabah Umno Hari Raya open house to be held here on Thursday (May 4) next week.

The event at the Umno building in Karamunsing downtown from 10am until 2pm, will also have Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin in attendance along with the supreme council members and leaders from the party’s state and division level.

Also expected to attend are leaders from Barisan Nasional component parties and local community leaders, said state Umno information chief Datuk Suhaimi Nasir in a statement on Friday (April 28).

"We have various programmes lined up during the open house celebration, including entertainment and performances from local artistes.

"At the same time, this event will be a great opportunity for the people especially Umno members to get to know the leaders at the state and central level, especially new faces chosen during the recent Umno divisional elections," Suhaimi added.

In addition to that, he said Bung Moktar who is Kinabatangan Umno chief, will also grace the Umno/BN Kinabatangan division Hari Raya open house happening earlier on Monday (May 1).

That event will take place at Sri Lamag, Kinabatangan starting 10am to 1pm, he added.
