Donation box stolen from Kelana Jaya mosque


PETALING JAYA: Three men allegedly stole a donation box from a mosque in Kelana Jaya here.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said a mosque worker lodged a police report on the theft at 7.30am on Monday (May 1)

"The worker realised the donation box was missing shortly after performing the Subuh prayers.

"CCTV footage shows three men breaking into the mosque on Jalan SS 7/8 using a steel cutter and carting away the donation box," he said in a statement on Wednesday (May 3).

The case has been classified under Section 380 of the Penal Code for committing theft within a building, he said.

"We urge those with information on the case to contact Petaling Jaya police at 03-7966 2222," he said.
