Media treasure hunt to mark National Journalists' Day


KUALA LUMPUR: A motor treasure hunt for media personnel will be held from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh in conjunction with the National Journalists' Day (Hawana) 2023 celebrations hosted by the Perak capital city from May 27 to 29.

Participation in the 'Jom ke Ipoh!' (Let's Visit Ipoh) hunt on May 27 is open to teams of two or four persons, with an entry fee of RM100 per team, Hawana 2023 project director D. Arul Rajoo said in a statement on Sunday (May 7).

He said participants will be given accommodation on a twin-sharing basis at a hotel in Ipoh for Saturday May 27 night and will be given a T-shirt to be worn during the hunt.

Prizes will be awarded up to the 10th position, with the first prize being RM4,000, second prize RM2,500 and third prize RM1,500, said Arul Rajoo, who is head of broadcasting at Bernama.

A briefing will be held for participants on May 24 at Wisma Bernama, Jalan Bernama, off Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur.
