PORT DICKSON: Police have classified the passing of a 67-year-old woman whose remains were found in a house here as sudden death.
Port Dickson OCPD Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said a post mortem conducted on the deceased at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital here did not find any criminal element in her death.
"The cause of her death has been classified as undetermined.
"We hope the public will not speculate further on this," he said, adding that investigations were still ongoing.
Supt Aidi Sham said the deceased who lived alone in Batu 8, Jalan Pantai in Teluk Kemang also had a medical history for hypertension and diabetes.
Police had received a report on the case around 12.30pm yesterday (May 9).
Medical personnel from the Port Dickson Hospital who arrived a short while later certified the woman dead and her body was then sent for post mortem.
