A 12-YEAR-OLD boy in Johor died after a fish tank shattered and injured him at home, China Press reported.
Glass shards left multiple deep cuts on the boy’s head and back.
The aquarium had cracked in a freak accident on May 6 at a house in Bukit Gambir, Tangkak.
Tangkak deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Idris Abdul Rahman said the boy was taken to a clinic before being rushed to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital by ambulance.
Paramedics declared the boy dead on the way to the hospital, he said.
A post-mortem completed on May 8 concluded that he had died from blunt force trauma.
Police have classified the case as sudden death.
> Several Malaysian artistes have made reports against social media accounts which used their names, China Press reported.
Singer Michael Wong and actor Frederick Lee put up posts on May 7, cautioning their fans not to fall for scams from these fake account holders.
Wong said he had only an official account and does not use private accounts to message anyone.
“Please make a report so that they get shut down,” he wrote.
Lee also posted examples of fake accounts and urged his fans to report them.
“I only have one account and will never use private accounts to direct message anyone. If you see an account elsewhere, it is not me. Please be careful,” he said.
Scammers are known to impersonate celebrities to gain the trust of their victims and to trick them into parting with their money.
