The place to be for home buyers

PETALING JAYA: The StarProperty Bumiputera Fair, one of Malaysia’s popular property exhibitions, is set to kick off at IOI Grand Exhibition and Convention Centre this Friday.

This highly anticipated event is expected to attract thousands of visitors who are eager to take advantage of the many offerings that will be showcased by reputable developers from May 12 to 14.

The developers include Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd, IJM Land, Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd, Gamuda Land and Sunsuria Bhd.

Home buyers can also find out loan information from participating banks such as Bank Rakyat and Bank Simpanan Nasional.

The Local Government Development Ministry is also participating in the fair.

The fair will feature a wide range of residential and commercial properties, including high-rise condominiums and landed properties.

The exhibition at level 3 in Hall 2 will also highlight the latest trends and innovations in the property industry, providing visitors with valuable insights into the market and investment opportunities.

In addition to showcasing properties, the StarProperty Bumiputera Fair will offer a range of exciting activities and events.

There will be property talks by industry experts, offering valuable advice on property investment and management.

Visitors will also be able to participate in the Visit & Win and Buy & Win activities and stand a chance to win attractive prizes.

Children can take part in the colouring contests according to their respective age groups with prizes worth RM3,000 up for grabs.

Free balloons and congkak games will also be available.

Suria Wheelers will be making their appearances from 4pm to 4.30pm on Saturday and 2pm to 2.30pm on Sunday, during which visitors can meet their favourite announcer Sharifah Shahira, better known as Rara.

This fair is a must-visit for those looking to buy or invest in property in Malaysia.

Home buyers will be able to take advantage of the bumiputra discounts and incentives.

In addition, they will be entitled for stamp duty exemptions of 75% to 100% under the Malaysian Family home ownership initiative or i-Miliki, the incentive under the ministry’s Home Ownership Programme.

For first homes valued at RM500,000 and below, the stamp duty exemption is 100%.

For properties worth RM500,001 to RM1mil, first-home buyers can enjoy a 75% stamp duty exemption.

The exemption for sales and purchase agreements, which began last year on June 1, will end on Dec 31 this year.

Home buyers facing a difficult choice with financing options can also find out more about the Malaysian Housing Financing Initiative (i-Biaya) from the ministry and their strategic partners.

The StarProperty Bumiputera Fair has a long history of success with previous events drawing large crowds and generating significant interest from investors and developers alike.

Admission is free. With so much to see and do, the fair is not to be missed for those looking to invest in the Malaysian property market.
