PETALING JAYA: The train services to six LRT stations – Stesen Bandaraya, Sultan Ismail, PWTC, Titiwangsa, Sentul and Sentul Timur – will resume from 6am on Friday (May 12).
This follows the completion of the first phase of the temporary upgrading of overhead structures and rails under repair near the Bandaraya LRT station.
Trains that require maintenance will be brought to the LRT depot in Ampang and replacement trains will be used for the regular services.

Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd said in a statement on Thursday (May 11) that operations in the six stations were temporarily halted on April 2.
"This was because the trains in service could not meet the operating criteria and had to be removed for safety reasons," it said.
The statement said with the opening of the six stations, the LRT 11, 13 and 14 bus services will be discontinued.

"The second phase of comprehensive upgrading works on the rail structures is expected to be fully completed by mid-October with the Ampang/Sri Petaling LRT routes returning to normal operation," it said.
It added, however, that the projected completion was subject to analysis and approval by the relevant authorities.
Rapid Rail said for a smoother ride for commuters, the company will reactivate the temporary shuttle service (LRT Bus 10) connecting the Masjid Jamek and Bandaraya LRT stations as service was temporarily disrupted between the two.

The shuttle services will be in operation using 10 buses at an interval of 10 minutes.
"Commuters have an option of using alternative rail routes. Passengers who wish to travel to Hang Tuah may use the monorail at the Titiwangsa station and passengers bound for Chan Sow Lin may use the MRT Putrajaya route through Titiwangsa station.
"Commuters are also encouraged to use the MyRapid PULSE app to plan their journey and follow the webpage of Rapid KL to get the latest information," the statement added.
Rail officials and Prasarana auxiliary police will be present at affected stations to direct the movement of passengers and render assistance where needed, it said.
