No decision yet on allies using BN symbol

PUTRAJAYA: No decision has been made to allow other parties in the unity government to use Barisan Nasional’s symbol in the upcoming state elections, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The Barisan Nasional chairman, however, confirmed that its own candidates would be contesting under the signature “dacing” symbol.

“The Barisan supreme council has confirmed that all Barisan candidates will contest under our own banner for the state elections,” he said yesterday.

His comments followed remarks by Barisan deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan that the coalition would consider allowing allies in the unity government to use its symbol in the six state elections.
