UNREPENTANT YouTuber Ryzal Ibrahim, better known as Durian Kimchi, refused to apologise for uploading a video that seemingly insulted and poked fun at people in the B40 income bracket, Harian Metro reported.

Ryzal, 31, who has a YouTube channel with his South Korean wife Maryam You Narae, said the clip was meant to spread awareness among the people.

“As I have said before, I will not be apologising for the video because I do not feel at fault. I was merely spreading awareness, not criticism,” he said.

The video showed the daily life of a poor person who used what little money he had to spend lavishly and excessively like a rich and wealthy person.

“It really does happen in our daily life and it was not an insult. I wanted to bring awareness to people.

“Maybe my humour was too deep and people did not understand the real message I was trying to deliver. I will try to be more careful with the content I post on social media,” Ryzal said.

> Actress Emma Maembong and husband Shazli Azhar welcomed their second child last Wednesday, Sinar Harian reported.

They named the boy Shakil Aryan Shah.

Emma posted a video of the first meeting between her elder son Shariq Gabril, two, and the new family member on Instagram.

It was truly a wonderful experience, she said.

She dedicated the video to Shariq, whom she said had taught her how to be a good mother.

“You will always be my firstborn, thank you for teaching me so many wonderful things,” she said.

Emma, whose real name is Fatimah Rohani Ismail, 31, tied the knot with Shazli in early 2020.
