Cops nab 11 people for prostitution at hotel


KLANG: Police have nabbed 11 people in connection with prostitution at a hotel here.

Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said a total of 37 personnel and officers from the anti-vice, gaming and secret societies division conducted the raid last Friday (May 12).

"We detained 11 people including the caretaker of the premises, sex workers and customers. Various items including condoms, massage oil and lubricant were seized," he said when contacted on Tuesday (May 16).

Comm Ayob said the syndicate operated from the seventh floor of the hotel.

"The premises were equipped with CCTV to monitor the ins and outs as well as to detect police presence," he said.

Bukit Aman CID is committed in conducting such operations from time to time to curb prostitution, he added.
