Man tries to evade girlfriend but ends up falling from 3rd floor of shophouse


GOMBAK: A man is fighting for his life after falling from the third floor of a shophouse here.

In a statement, Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Mohamed Mohamed said the man, a foreigner in his 30s, was found seriously hurt near a shophouse at Jalan SBC3 in Batu Caves, with injuries to the leg and face.

Investigations showed that he had fallen from the third floor of the building after going there to meet a female acquaintance.

"While there, the man's girlfriend came to look for him. He tried to escape by running out of the back window, but fell. He is now in a critical condition and is being treated at the Selayang Hospital's emergency department.

"Investigations are ongoing. Witnesses and those with information of the incident can contact investigating officer Insp Ahmad Irwan Mohamad at 018-571 2477 or the Gombak police headquarters at 03-6126 2222," he said.
