Tragedy strikes couple about to marry this Friday

AN engaged couple in Terengganu were unable to hold their wedding due to a car accident on their way home after buying a wedding ring, reported Kosmo!

The accident, which took place at KM105 of Jalan Kuantan-Kuala Terengganu near the Kerteh Industrial Park on Saturday, claimed the life of Muhammad Aliff Hafizzudin Samsul, 24, while his bride-to-be, Nuralifah Ilyana Azman, 21, was severely injured.

Kemaman OCPD Supt Hanyan Ramlan said the driver of another car had lost control of his vehicle and went into the opposite lane before crashing into the couple’s car.

“The crash caused their car to turn turtle. The Fire and Rescue Department managed to get the couple out and rushed Nuralifah Ilyana to the Kemaman Hospital’s intensive care unit,” he said.

Nuralifah Ilyana was later transferred to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital for further treatment while Muhammad Aliff Hafizzudin’s body was brought to the Kemaman Hospital’s forensic unit for a post-mortem.

Nuralifah Ilyana’s mother, Salmah Idris, 53, said her daughter suffered a broken right hip.

“Before the accident, the couple had been buying things, including a wedding ring, for their akad nikah (marriage solemnisation ceremony) that was supposed to take place this Friday,” she said.

> Harian Metro reported that a woman was showered with praise and admiration from netizens after she uploaded videos on TikTok of her husband visiting the grave of his first wife who died from colon cancer.

Tumizah Hitam@Adam, 43, married Mohd Fazmi Alwi, 35, a few months after his first wife passed away.

“I would be lying if I told you I was not jealous looking at how loving my husband is towards his late wife,” she said.
