TEACHERS from SJK (T) Ladang Yong Peng, Johor, won two awards in conjunction with the national-level Teachers Day celebration in Melaka, Malaysia Nanban reported.
Puvaneswari Ganesan received the Anugerah Guru Inspirasi 2023 and RM5,000 in cash.
Puvaneswari, together with Kalaivani Murugiah, Lydia Tamilselvan and Nurshafakah Nadirah Nasri, also bagged the team innovation award.
They earned the awards for inspiring classroom participation, their innovative teaching methods and for guiding their pupils with distinction, said headmaster Dominic Sawarimuthu.
The school was proud of the awards, said Sawarimuthu, especially since it took home the Guru Inspirasi title for a second time, beating out 16,750 teachers that were nominated nationwide.

Despite this, more than 800 individuals have reportedly died between 2015 and 2020 while carrying out this perilous task.
