Socso confirms officer detained by MACC


PETALING JAYA: The Social Security Organisation (Socso) has confirmed that one of its officers has been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) under its Ops Hire 2.0 operation.

In a statement on Friday (May 19), it said the officer is suspected to have accepted bribes to approve an application under the Penjana scheme.

Socso said it would cooperate fully with the MACC to carry out the investigation.
