Two officers moved out as HR Ministry continues to clean house


PETALING JAYA: Two more senior officers have been transferred as part of moves to clean up the Human Resources Ministry following an investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The senior officers are believed to be a head of department and the other from the deputy secretary-general's office.

Earlier this month, minister V. Sivakumar confirmed that five of his staff members had been sacked.

Sivakumar had said the sacking was to ensure that the ministry functions effectively and smoothly.

Last month, MACC had arrested three of his aides in connection with an investigation into the recruitment of foreign workers.

On April 16, Sivakumar also gave his statement to MACC on the matter.
