Fire breaks out at old EPF building


PETALING JAYA: A fire has broken out at the EPF building on Jalan Gasing here on Monday (May 22).

A 1-minute video showing thick black smoke billowing from a section of the building has since gone viral on social media.

In February 2018, a blaze destroyed about 40% of the building in Jalan Gasing.

According to the Fire and Rescue Services Department, the 2018 fire incident was caused by a spark caused during maintenance work that ignited flammable cladding panels used on the building's exterior.
