Cops arrest couple after video of alleged indecent act in car park goes viral


PASIR GUDANG: Police here have arrested a couple following a video of an alleged indecent act in a car park in Tasik Bukit Layang-Layang here.

Seri Alam OCPD Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the arrest was made at 11pm on Wednesday (May 23).

“We have started an investigation into the matter and managed to locate the couple who were arrested around Pasir Gudang. The male suspect is 29 while the female is 19,” he said when contacted.

Supt Mohd Sohaimi said this when asked to comment on a 42-second video showing a couple believed to be engaging in an indecent act inside a white vehicle.

“We will share further details once we get the remand order,” he said, adding that this is the second incident occurring in Seri Alam.

The first case was on April 6, when the Pasir Gudang police detained a 22-year-old male suspect and his 17-year-old female companion after a video went viral of the two allegedly engaging in an indecent act at a car park.

The couple were apprehended after a 23-second video of their indecent act was uploaded to Twitter and went viral on social media.

He said in a statement that the previous incident took place on Wednesday (March 29) in a car park at Taman Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang, at 3.03pm.
