Three shop lots destroyed in Klang fire


KLANG: Three shop lots were destroyed in a fire near Kampung Jalan Kebun here.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail said the incident occurred at 7.11am on Saturday (May 27).

"We dispatched four fire engines, a water tanker and 23 firefighters to the scene from the Shah Alam, Andalas and Kota Raja Fire Stations. They arrived at the scene at 7.26am and began operations to put out the fire," he said in a statement on Saturday.

He said the fire was brought under control by 7.30am and was completely put out by 7.45am.

"Our personnel are now conducting an overhaul of the affected units to ensure that the fire does not reignite.

"No one was injured during the incident," he said.
