PETALING JAYA: Gerakan is looking at contesting about 30 seats in the coming state elections.
Its president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau(pic) said the party has finalised 90% of the candidates in the 30 seats to be contested in Kedah, Penang, Selangor and Negri Sembilan.
He added that discussions were still ongoing with its Perikatan Nasional partners for seats in Kelantan and Terengganu.

"The two states are not a priority (for Gerakan to contest in) as the main goal is to ensure Perikatan's victory in the elections," Utusan Malaysia quoted him as saying on Monday (May 29).
He hoped his party would be able to contest in all six states, as it has submitted 70 names to Perikatan's supreme council.
