KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has conveyed 65th anniversary wishes to all Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) staff, veterans as well as all those who had served with RMAF.
His Majesty also expressed his appreciation and admiration for the service and dedication of the RMAF in protecting the sovereignty and security of the country's air space.
"May RMAF continue to make strides as a modern air force in defending the nation's airspace sovereignty and become a respected air force on the international scene," Sultan Abdullah said in a message via Istana Negara's Facebook.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also wished a happy 65th anniversary to RMAF personnel.
Anwar, in his social media post, also expressed his deep appreciation to all RMAF personnel for their commitment in protecting the country’s sovereignty and security.
"Your services and sacrifices are highly appreciated by all Malaysians,” said Anwar.
The RMAF's anniversary is celebrated on June 1 each year.
This year’s celebration is themed “Kuasa Udara, Perisai Kedaulatan Negara” (Air Power, Shielding the Country’s Sovereignty). - Bernama
