Boy impales himself on buttocks while climbing metal fence in Sg Besar


SUNGAI BESAR: A 12-year-old boy who tried to climb a metal fence impaled himself on his buttocks by a six-inch spike.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail said they received a distress call on the incident at 6.25pm on Monday (June 5).

"We dispatched a fire engine and 10 personnel to the scene along Jalan 5, Taman Seri Sungai Besar.

"They arrived at around 6.38pm and found a 12-year-old boy stuck on a metal spike from a fence," he said.

He said firemen had to cut a section of the fence off and carry the victim, with the piece still attached, to an ambulance.

"The victim was sent to the Sabak Bernam Hospital for treatment," he said.
