Suraya is new Auditor-General


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi (pic) has been appointed the new Auditor-General, says Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali. He added that Wan Suraya’s appointment will be effective today.

“In accordance with Article 105(1) of the Federal Constitution, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, following a meeting with the Conference of Rulers, has agreed to appoint Wan Suraya as the Auditor-General starting June 13,” said Mohd Zuki.

He added that Wan Suraya’s appointment is based on her leadership and vast experience of 29 years in the civil service.

“Her last position was as the chief executive officer of the Malaysia Integrity Institute (IIM),” said Mohd Zuki in a statement.
