Cops seize drugs worth RM4mil, one pistol with ammunition and arrest four in KL raid

KUALA LUMPUR: Some RM4mil in drugs were seized following four raids in the Klang Valley, says Deputy Comm Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin.

The police force secretary said four men aged between 37 and 58 were also detained in the raids conducted on Tuesday (June 13).

"The Bukit Aman Narcotic Crime Investigation Department (NCID) seized an array of drugs worth RM4.06mil, including 62kg of syabu, 12.23kg of MDMA, 7.5kg of ecstasy pills and 2.18kg of ketamine.

"We also seized a Sig Sauer pistol along with 180 bullets," she said in a statement on Thursday (June 15).

Initial investigations revealed that the drugs were transported from a northern state for distribution in the Klang Valley, she said.

"We believe the syndicate has been active since March last year.

"The syndicate used land routes to smuggle the drugs and store them in residential premises before it was distributed," she added.

The suspects have been remanded until June 20, she said.

"Several of the syndicate's assets worth RM721,800, including five vehicles, jewellery, wristwatches and cash, were also seized," she added.

DCP Noorsiah said the drugs seized could have been supplied to 389,791 drug users.

"We urge the public to continue relaying information on drug trafficking to the police through the NCID hotline at 012-208 7222," she said.
