THE driver of a luxury SUV with a Malaysian number plate was denied entry by Singapore Customs for ignoring police instructions, China Press reported.

The sports utility vehicle was seen using the bus and lorry lane to overtake the long queue at Johor Causeway but was stopped by the police who asked the driver to make a U-turn and return to the queue.

The driver, however, ignored the instruction and tried to force his way past the police.

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore issued a statement to acknowledge a video of the incident that happened on June 10.

“The driver was heading to Woodlands Checkpoint and had used the bus lane, which is not allowed,” the statement said.
