American injured while swimming at Kanching Waterfall


PETALING JAYA: An American man was rescued by firefighters after injuring himself while swimming at the Kanching Waterfall.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain said rescuers reached the scene at 11.40am on Saturday (June 17).

"The victim, an American man aged 29, had fallen during a swim. He suffered injuries to his hip and was rescued by firefighters for further treatment," he said when contacted.

The victim was with a group of friends during the trip.
