Indonesian workers slammed online for hurling stray dog into river


PETALING JAYA: Social media users have condemned three workers in Medan, Sumatra for throwing a stray dog into a river, where it was killed by a reptile believed to be a crocodile.

In the incident which has gone viral, two men can be seen in a video catching the dog before it was thrown into the river and then caught by a reptile as it tried to swim away.

A third person can also be seen laughing in the video.

Responding to this, Shankar Bai said on Facebook, "how could anyone throw a dog into the river, how stupid can you be.”

Similarly, Barret Tan questioned the cruelty of the act.

"These guys are cursed. They are cruel and mean. The authority must take action," said Tan.
