Watsons reaches 700-store milestone

KLANG: With its 700th store launch, Watsons Malaysia reinforces its commitment to providing unparalleled shopping experiences and innovative health and beauty products to customers across the country.

Its managing director Caryn Loh said the retailer understands the ever-changing consumer demands and strives to stay relevant.“We offer a convenient and hassle-free shopping experience through our integrated offline plus online platforms.

“Our aim is to provide the latest and trendiest product range, sustainable choices, and a wide array of services to cater to our customers’ diverse needs,” said Loh at the store launch in KSL Esplanade Mall here yesterday.

Noting that Watsons also recognises the importance of sustainability, Loh said the retailer has been focused on integrating offline and online shopping not only for customers’ convenience, but to drive meaningful change and promote a sustainable culture in daily operations.

“Highlighting the integration, this new store spanning 4,144 sq ft features the latest G9 concept, which seamlessly integrates a wide range of exclusive products and services.

“There is also an innovative Style Me feature counter equipped with augmented reality (AR) technology for virtual colour try-ons, a Watsons Elite express lane for privileged members and easy self-checkout options,” she said.

Loh added that the store takes pride in its commitment to sustainability, offering a refill station for Naturals by Watsons as part of a recycling collaboration with the Waste Management Association of Malaysia (WMAM) to encourage responsible shopping practices.AS Watson Group managing director Dominic Lai said Watsons is fully aware of the importance of actively engaging in various social and environmental initiatives to create a positive impact on the community and the planet.

Watsons Malaysia, which saw double-digit sales growth this year, has expanded from 535 outlets in 2019 to 700 stores now.

Its loyalty members, who numbered 5.7 million in 2019, have surged to 7.2 million to date.
