'Quarrelsome' policewoman probed over second video clip

KUALA LUMPUR: Brickfields police have opened their own investigation into a woman police officer after she was caught on camera in another quarrel.

It was reported earlier that the officer had been arrested over a prior video clip showing her arguing with subordinates.

This time, a video apparently shot in a carpark in Brickfields here shows the officer fighting with a 27-year-old civilian.

"The complainant who lodged the report said the incident occurred at 5.26pm on Friday (June 16) at the parking lot.

"Investigations showed that the suspect wanted to park her car but the complainant had opened her car door.

"The complainant's grandmother was going to change a relative's diaper.

"However, the suspect was unhappy and started honking her car horn while shouting at and scolding the complainant and her family," Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor said in a statement on Sunday (June 18).

During the argument, the suspect reportedly criticised the complainant's clothing and recorded her with her handphone.

"The argument was resolved by a married couple.

"Disciplinary action and a mental health check on the suspect are under way," Comm Amihizam said.

Earlier on Sunday, Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the suspect had been arrested following investigations into a prior argument involving the suspect and two lower-ranking policemen in Taman Sri Gombak.
