ALOR SETAR: Heading the list of recipients at the investiture ceremony of awards, medals and honours to celebrate Kedah Ruler, His Royal Highness Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah’s 81st birthday is DYAM Che Puan Nur Julie Ariff.
Her Royal Highness was conferred the Darjah Seri Setia Sultan Sallehuddin (SSSK) which carries the Datuk Seri Diraja title.
Her Royal Highness is married to DYAM Datuk Tunku Shazuddin Ariff, who is the current Tunku Mahkota Kedah and second son of the monarch and his consort Her Royal Highness Sultanah Maliha Almarhum Tengku Ariff.
Sultan Sallehuddin also conferred the Darjah Seri Setia Diraja Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (SSDK), which carries the Datuk Seri title to Kedah state secretary Datuk Seri Norizan Khazali and awarded the Orang Besar Lapan, which carries Datuk Seri Setia Diraja title, to Comptroller of the Kedah Royal Household Datuk Seri Bakar Din.
Two recipients received the Darjah Gemilang Wira Mahkota Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (DGWK) which carries the Datuk Wira title.
One recipient was conferred the Darjah Gemilang Wira Mahkota Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (DGWK) (Kehormat) which carries the Datuk Wira title.
While two recipients were conferred the Darjah Datuk Setia Pahlawan Negeri Kedah Yang Amat Dihormati (DSPK) which carries the Datuk Pahlawan title.
Two people were conferred the Darjah Datuk Setia Sultan Sallehuddin Kedah (DSSS) award which carries the title Datuk.
Another 11 recipients were bestowed with the Darjah Datuk Setia Diraja Kedah (DSDK) title which carries the title Datuk.
Two recipients were bestowed with the Darjah Datuk Setia Pahlawan (DDSP) award which also carries the title Datuk.
Meanwhile, two recipients received the Setia Sultan Sallehuddin (SSS), followed by the Setia DiRaja Kedah (SDK) (12 recipients), Ahli Mahkota Kedah (AMK) (35 recipients), Ahli Setia Pahlawan (ASP) (six recipients) and Bintang Kebaktian Masyarakat (BKM) (40 recipients).
The Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK), Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang Kedah (PCK) and Pingat Perkhidmatan Lama (PPL) were awarded to 99 recipients.
The ceremony held on Sunday (June 18) marked the official birthday of the 29th Sultan of Kedah whose actual birthday falls on April 30.
The celebration and host of programmes including an investiture ceremony of awards, medals and honours was held at the Istana Anak Bukit.
