Policewoman held over fight with subordinate


PETALING JAYA: A female police officer caught on camera fighting with a colleague of a lower rank has been arrested.

The arrest was confirmed by Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.

"Based on information gathered, a team from the Gombak police district headquarters arrested the 35-year-old woman at 1.20am on Sunday (June 18).

"The suspect will be granted bail after investigations are completed as there are several other police reports linked to her," he said in a statement to The Star.

The officer found herself in hot water after a video clip was circulated showing her fighting with a rank-and-file policeman.

Another video emerged allegedly showing her arguing with a person at a car park in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
