Johor MB helps accident victim


JOHOR BARU: Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi helped a motorcyclist after he skidded at Jalan Danga Bay near Country Garden here.

Onn was on his way back after conducting road checks in Senai and Skudai on Monday (June 19).

Photos released by the Johor Fire and Rescue Department showed the Mentri Besar assisting firemen from the Larkin Fire and Rescue station during the incident.

“We received an emergency call on the incident at 8.49am,” said Larkin fire station chief Suhaimi Abdul Jamal in a statement.

He said the motorcyclist skidded and hit a car, adding that the rescue team managed to pull him out.

Suhaimi said the victim suffered injuries and was sent to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for treatment.

The operation, which ended at 9.16am, involved 11 firemen led by senior officer II Azmi Johar.
