JPJ to summon luxury car owner with number plate discrepancy

KUALA LUMPUR: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will call up the owner of a luxury car which had discrepancies in its registration number.

The issue involving the luxury car went viral recently on social media.

Kuala Lumpur JPJ deputy director Erick Jusiang said the number plate of the car did not match the data on JPJ's MySikap system

"We will issue a notice to summon the vehicle's owner to come forward.

"We will investigate before taking any action," he told a press conference at the JPJ headquarters here on Tuesday (June 20).

It was reported that the husband of an actress was criticised after a video of him insulting non-supercar vehicles during an exhibition recently went viral.

The same man also uploaded a video saying that the vehicle with the registration number was not used on the road but only meant for photos.
