Woman nabbed for mischief after Sabah footballer's front door damaged


PETALING JAYA: Sabah police have arrested a woman in Kota Kinabalu after the front door to the house of her ex-boyfriend, a Sabah footballer, was damaged.

The woman was arrested at 8pm on Wednesday (June 21) to assist in investigations into the incident, Sinar Harian reported.

Kota Kinabalu OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said the arrest was made following a police report lodged by the football player on June 17.

"The complainant alleged that his front door was damaged by his ex-girlfriend.

"The suspect was then arrested and we believe we have solved the case," he told Sinar Harian on Thursday (June 22).

ACP Mohd Zaidi added that the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief.

He also advised the publlic not to speculate on the incident or share any details from unverified sources on social media.
