Three-year-old among two killed in car-motorbike crash near Jelebu

JELEBU: A three-year-old boy was among the two people killed in an accident involving a car and a motorcycle at Bukit Tangga near here.

Jelebu police chief Deputy Supt Maslan Udin said the boy was travelling in a car heading towards Kuala Klawang with his family while the other victim was heading in the opposite direction in the 7.30pm accident Thursday (June 22).

"Preliminary investigations show that the car driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the oncoming motorcycle.

"Both the child and the 48-year-old motorcyclist died while receiving treatment at Jelebu Hospital," he said in a statement Friday (June 23).

DSP Maslan said a post-mortem would be carried out on the remains of the victims to establish the cause of death.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
