Ex-footballer nabbed for trespassing into woman's hotel room


PETALING JAYA: A former national footballer has been arrested for allegedly trespassing into the hotel room of a woman here.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said police were alerted of the incident around 6.10pm on Wednesday (June 21).

"We received a report from the victim who claimed that the suspect, a former national football player, had trespassed into her room,” he said, adding the victim left the room.

ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said police arrested the suspect and remanded him to help in the investigations.

"The suspect has been released on bail.

“The case is being classified as trespassing under Section 448 of the Penal Code," he said in a statement on Saturday (June 24).

Majoriti reported that the victim’s husband had taken to social media to thank those who helped his wife before he arrived at the scene.

He said there was no forgiveness for the former footballer who served the Perak and national teams.
