PETALING JAYA: Another victim of the training incident at Syed Sirajuddin Camp in Gemas near Seremban died while undergoing treatment at Segamat Hospital, say police.

Tampin district police chief Supt Anuwal Ab Wahab said further information on the incident will be shared periodically as investigations continue, according to Bernama.

Earlier, it was reported that an Air Force personnel was killed in a training incident at the Syed Sirajuddin Camp.

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) said two other personnel, who were trainers, were also injured in the 12.10pm incident on Sunday (June 25).

"The Air Force confirms there was an incident involving three of its personnel today.

"The personnel were undergoing shooting and grenade throwing training at the Basic Grenade Training Centre at Syed Sirajuddin Camp in Gemas when the incident happened," it said in a statement.

The Air Force said the personnel was killed on the spot while the two trainers were initially treated at the Armed Forces Hospital in Gemas before being transferred to Segamat Hospital.

The police, it said, was now probing the case.

"The Air Force will also set up an investigation board to do its own probe," it said.

The RMAF appealed to the public not to speculate the cause of the incident as investigations were underway.
