Two young MCA leaders in Johor commended for having shown loyalty and dedication

PETALING JAYA: Kulai MCA chairman Chen Fan Chong and MCA national public complaints and service bureau deputy chief Chua Jian Boon have both been commended for their loyalty and dedication in serving the people and party.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said both young leaders were valuable assets to the party and should be emulated by other leaders.

"When Chen Fan Chong and his challenger Chua Jian Boon together welcomed my arrival, Chen had narrowly won the position of Kulai MCA division chairman over Chua with a majority of only six votes during the party election on June 11.

"These two young leaders are valuable assets for the MCA party.

"They are both diligent in meeting and solving grassroots problems, and stand out as authoritative leaders.

"Chen has served as the private secretary to the Deputy Education Minister while Chua is still serving as a special officer to Johor Mentri Besar.

"These two young figures are very committed, big-hearted and authoritative.

"Both of these young leaders are "gentlemen" when campaigning and accept the party's election results with an open heart," said Dr Wee in a Facebook post.

He added that as soon as the party election was over, the two of them had sat down to discuss how to continue working together to strengthen the MCA party, especially at the Kulai Division level.

"Congratulations to Chen and Chua who set a good example.

"Whatever the outcome, these two young figures have great talent and potential in the political arena.

"Their loyalty to the party is highly commendable and should be emulated by other leaders," added Dr Wee.

He said this after attending Kulai Municipal Councilor Wong Pow Kyan's brother's wedding ceremony on Sunday (June 25).

"May the marriage bond of the bride and groom continue to be happy until the end of life," he said in the post.
