Yong Peng resident kept safe due to tireless patrols by police, Rela

PETALING JAYA: Police and Rela members who have been patrolling tirelessly every night to ensure the safety of residents in Yong Peng here have been appreciated.

In a Facebook post by Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, who is MCA president, he thanked the personnel for their duties.

"Thank you to the police and Rela members who patrol every night around this area to ensure the safety of the residents," he said.

Earlier, Dr Wee had met the local community to discuss preparations for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha, which falls on Thursday.

"At 10pm I arrived at the Ayer Hitam MP's service centre to meet Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon and Ayer Hitam Umno deputy head Kamal Haron to discuss preparations in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha which will arrive soon.

"After that we had tea together with the residents at a stall in Taman JPN Yong Peng.

"Here, satay, 'chicken chop' and 'Mee Rebus Gearbox' are popular menus," he added.
