Aminuddin to seek Negri Ruler's consent to dissolve state assembly

SEREMBAN: Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun will seek the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir on Wednesday (June 28) to dissolve the state assembly.

The Mentri Besar was seen entering the state Ruler's official residence at Istana Hinggap at 10am.

Aminuddin will chair the last state exco meeting after his audience with Tuanku Muhriz.

Prior to this, Aminuddin had said that the state assembly would be dissolved on June 30.

The state assembly's term ends on July 2.

In the 2018 general election, Pakatan Harapan won 20 seats while Barisan Nasional bagged 16.

It was also the first time that Barisan had been defeated in the state polls.
