Family looking for 66-year-old man with dementia who went missing in KL


PETALING JAYA: A 66-year-old man has been missing since Wednesday (June 28) after he went for a walk from his home at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman in Kuala Lumpur.

Update: The family has informed The Star that the missing man has been found.

Moostan @ Moostanseer, who has dementia, was last seen leaving the house for a walk from which he did not return.

His brother Asger Ali Ali Hussain, 71, said Moostan usually lived in a care home, but had returned to their mother's house in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha.

"It is a routine walk for him when he is back home, but he did not return after taking a walk on Wednesday.

"We made a police report at the Dang Wangi police station on Thursday (June 29)," he said.

Asger Ali said his brother was mentally ill and had acute diabetes.

He requested that those with information on his brother's whereabouts contact him immediately.
