Cops looking for witnesses of accident that left motorcyclist injured at airport roundabout


PETALING JAYA: Police are looking for witnesses to a suspected drink driving incident that has left one motorcyclist injured.

In a statement on Wednesday (July 5), Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said that the incident occurred early in the morning on the same day at 3am.

The suspect, a 31 year old driver, had lost control of his car near the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport roundabout.

A motorcyclist was hit and suffered injuries following the incident.

"The victim that had been injured was sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment whereas the car driver was brought to the district police headquarters and a test confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time," he said.

Witnesses are urged to contact assistant traffic investigations officer Sjn Juwita Selamat at 019-284 1667 or their nearest police station.
